What to Wear for Spring Pictures
These Riverview maternity photos taken at my favorite March/April location are like a “what to wear guide for spring pictures!” I love the fun, wildflower location that pops every spring this time of year. What a super sweet husband to buy the session to surprise her for Valentine’s Day! What a great idea and gift!
She knew right away she wanted to do them at my favorite greenery spot that happens to be very close to my house. I was thrilled with that location, too! I recommended we start at the yellow wildflowers since they only last a little while. Just days later the wildflowers were all mowed, so we were fortunate!
Remember how I said these maternity pictures serve as a what to wear guide for your spring pictures. I am not lying! If you are planning a session in the greenery that is so plentiful in spring time, or if you are like us, in Florida, it really is year round, then picking a royal blue will never be wrong. Royal blue alway pops against the greenery like no other color. This family added pinks and other spring colors, and it worked out well. You could also pair royal blue with yellows and creams!
Heck, I loved the bold, colorful spring pattern on her dress so much I bought a non-maternity option for myself! Take their cue and my advice for “what to wear Wednesday.” Looking at a lush green setting for your own family pictures? Then go for a royal blue main color. Simply bring in other patterns, without matching the blue too much. All blue would have been boring. The pink flowers, pink shoes and pink the girls’ shirt patterns helped them stand out and still be cohesive in look!
Ladybugs were a plenty and the girls had a ball running wild and free! Although, maybe not so much at the end when one little one ended up a bit muddy…but it was fine since we had plenty of gorgeous pictures by then.
