Tampa Family Photographer – Curtis Hixon Park

Look who is going to be four!! It is amazing how big both these kiddos have gotten in the last year and a half of photographing their family.  I loved their look for this more urban and bright session downtown in Tampa’s Curtis Hixon Park. Mom really popped with her bright pink hair accessory, and M was ever the diva, love it! But this session was more about big bro J turning 4.  He was a right to listen to and watch jump and be a fun loving big guy! What a lovely family, I cannot wait to see how much they have grown when I get to see them in a few months. Something fun about milestone sessions is certainly watching you all grow along with me!  If you are here for the H family feel free to post a comment below; I thank you for stopping! ~ Brooke

Riverview Family Photographer – Pregnancy Announcement

Guess who is preggers?  This gorgeous lady, who happens to be a dear friend, a fellow photographer, and just an all around ball of awesomeness!  I am so happy for their little family of three becoming a family of four around St. Patty’s Day next year.  I really thought she was having twins when I found out, poor girl has been so sick…but there is just one in there.  I cannot wait to find out if it is a boy or a girl, but for now, they can sit back and enjoy not knowing and wondering all about that baby inside. Big sister is heart-set on a baby sister…but whatever baby is, I know they will be loved!  I was so honored to be asked to help announce their pregnancy to the world!

I also had to add two images from one of my adventures with these ladies, on the very morning they shared the news of their newest addition-to-be!  I love being able to scout locations with other photographers, especially ones who are so positive, supportive, fun and her daughter is about the cutest thing ever, seriously her love of life just exudes from every part of her being!  Enjoy!

GRACE - Brooke- these pix are adorable!!! Reilly and her family are so stinkin’ cute! Nice work and congrats, Reilly!

Jessica - Beautiful captures, Brooke! Love love love the second to last one especially… I have a similar shot with my first before my second was born and I just love the way you captured that connection spot on… and congrats to the family!

Alison - What a gorgeous session and location! I love these images!

Medard Park – Brother & Sister session

This family found me through another family I have done sessions with, and I am so thankful when you all recommend me on to your friends and even strangers looking for a photographer recommendation! I feel so lucky to have photographed this family on such a lovely night, again at one of my favorite places to photograph in Tampa, Medard Park. Yes, technically it is all the way out in Plant City, but it is a pretty quick drive to the park even from downtown Tampa.  This session was for C’s 16th birthday.  Her brother came along for some great brother and sister moments and what 9 year old does not want to get in the fun of being photographed, too.  Enjoy the images and if you are here for this lovely family, please leave a comment below so they can get a gift print from me! Thanks for stopping, Brooke

3rd birthday photos

This is another little one who has been with me since I started as a photographer, and I am so thankful when clients come back not only for their next birthday, but the birthday after that, and everything in between.  Certainly this little one has been photographed by me a lot, but her mom and I agree, this was probably our favorite session together.  Little L loves to run and be free, but this session actually started with her sitting on my “magic box” and we were both a little shocked when we started a session with L sitting still. The lighting at Medard Park, and I know I have said this before, but it is truly magical, and this park has to be one of my favorite places to photograph at.  If you want stunning sunset pictures, this is definitely the place to go in the Tampa area.  I will be doing one of my holiday mini-sessions at Medard Park, too, so be on the look out for those dates and information very soon!  Happiest third birthday, L! I look forward to continue to watch you grown and thank you to your family for choosing me to help document your sweet life! If you are visiting for L & her family, please leave a comment below, so they can earn a gift print from me.  ~Brooke

What-to-Wear Tips for larger family groups

A big month for this family, boys turning three and Daddy getting a big pin with the military, what a more perfect reason to document these moments with photographs.  The session was on a steaming morning near Bayshore Avenue in Tampa at the lovely Fred Ball Park.  What a gorgeous location, and a lovely backdrop for this family’s colorful clothing for their family pictures. I know it is daunting for a family of four to coordinate but add grandparents to the mix, it can get even harder, but they did a great job of just laying colors and coordinating instead of looking too matchy.  The brighter color palette when well with the dress blues Daddy wore for half of the session as well, so with navy blue being the starting point, they added teals, and little pink/plum and gray.  I think the colors work great as we move toward fall, or as much of fall that we get in Tampa! Additionally, you can pull in a print or pattern for one out of every three people as a safe bet when coordinating outfits, so in this case, two people work more printed fabrics and the rest were more in plain fabrics, but with lots of textures, so I think that is why these outfits really work! I hope that helps for those of you thinking of family photos for the upcoming holiday picture season!

Gina - Amanda, your family looks gorgeous in these pictures. Great job Brooke!
