Tampa Extended Family Photo Session
Downtown Tampa Pictures
I love extended family sessions. This Tampa extended family photo session with adult brothers and their sister on their mom’s birthday, was photographed in downtown Tampa a few weeks back. This session is no exception to my love of larger family photo sessions. They make my heart happy because I know how much joy having pictures of your entire family can be. I lost my dad almost five years ago and some of my most treasured images of him are from a session we did with the boys were less than a year old with both sides of the boys grandparents. I know they will treasure the images for forever as well. This family was celebrating their mom’s birthday. I won’t say which one but clearly it was a big one to bring all of her kids in from out of town. They really did a great job putting together their outfits, don’t you think? This is quite the feat for these families who don’t see each other every week. They don’t exactly have much practice in putting together outfits that coordinate just enough so that they don’t match and look like your mom is still dressing you for pictures at Olan Mills. I would say this sweet family knocked the outfits out of the park, am I right? We got to Curtis Hixon Park in downtown Tampa, Florida, and the ending of “Santa Fest” was wrapping up. There were a million people around, but you would never know. The brothers and one sister really just focused on their mama, and their significant others. Family was what mattered most. We brought them together by making sure everyone was touching in some way the entire time, connections are sometimes that simple. Just be close and take the time to look at each other, let each other know you love them, and the smiles and natural looking images can be created easily. It really was a lot of fun. While I am used to chasing at least a few kids around during extended family sessions, this was a refreshing change for me. I hope they treasure the memories and images that will last for a lifetime and more.
