Tampa Photographer Childhood Portraits
Twelve by Twelve Blog Circle: Celebrate
Let’s hear it for the end of the year and making it through my first ever year long blog circle. The topic for the Twelve by Twelve Blog Circle this month “CELEBRATE” was chosen by Laurel of Laurel Photography, based out of Tampa. When I started this blog circle journey last year, it was because I wanted to push myself in doing something creative each month, photography based. I also wanted to make it more about personal projects, instead of always shooting for clients. I love doing both, but let’s face it, our boys and photographing them is how and why I began this photography career in the first place. They are usually my source of inspiration most days, and I truly love our journeys in photographs we have taken in their lives. Being a Tampa photographer, I get hung up in the same locations all the time. This year, my holiday mini’s took me back to Hyde Park Village in Tampa; somewhere I hadn’t photographed in quite some time. I did photograph there quite a bit when I first started as a photographer. I truly loved the sessions I did in Hyde Park this year…and I plan on blogging them in the new year to share why…but for now, these are a few of my favorite images of the boys I took last week in Hyde Park. I think it is a festive way to celebrate the holidays. I mean, I am the girliest of girls, I love anything glitter. Being a boy mom, doesn’t mean we can’t play with glitter though! We just do it in a manly way, right? Ties, beanies and let them do what they want while trying to get me with glitter. I say, go out, capture a little glitter fun yourself, even with your iphone, just look for the best light, maybe a little slow-motion video fun, and make sure you get the glitter that is not so fine it sticks to everything! Interested in your own professional glitter session, email Brooke@HamiltonCreekPhotography.com. At this point, I am forming an interest list for a Valentine’s Day mini-session with glitter and sparkly dresses and other little dudes and siblings who love glitter, too!
Warning!!! IF you are a photographer or want to try this with your kiddos…trust me, shake out all the glitter you can before putting it in the washer. My husband is uber excited about all the glitter on his polos I threw in the same load of wash…
Make sure you head over to Laurel’s blog post to see the other photographer’s take on “celebrate” this month!
A little bonus is our holiday video with some super sweet, real lifestyle photography moments and videos.
