Florida Botanical Gardens | Largo PHotographer

I met this newly married couple early on a Sunday morning at the lovely Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo, Florida. It was my first time there, despite driving by it often on the way to the beach. I loved not only meeting this sweet couple, but also exploring this small botanical garden. It is always fun to find a new location after so many years in business in the Tampa Bay area as a photographer. The day started out steamy, and despite being near the end of summer there were not too many flowers in bloom at this garden. However, it was lush with greenery, inquisitive squirrels and gorgeous glowy sunlight. My favorite area was the “wedding garden'“ itself; which seemed perfect for these newlyweds, too. The architecture and symmetry made it a great backdrop to play with that broke up all the lush greens that surround the park.

I loved their fun and playful spirt. Once we stepped outside of the wedding garden, it honestly felt a bit like a Hawaiian resort with the lush greenery, palms and waterways to walk through.

My other favorite little nook was the cacti garden.
