5 month photo sessions could be my new favorite. How adorable is this baby girl? The whole family was so sweet and full of smiles, just soaking up this fun baby age of 5 months! As a Riverview baby photographer, I don’t always get to document 5 months, but it is a great time to do your own baby photos. If newborn photos seems overwhelming as you adjust to your new life taking care of baby without much sleep, waiting a few months is still a great time to document this precious time in your lives.

Babies at 5 months are usually taking the world in and tracking more and of course, much more smiley and alert, right? I loved that this sweet couple even wanted to grab a few of just them at the end of the session, too. It meant I could grab one of my faves of the night, the details of the baby toes in her sweet stroller and then just a few moments with just them.

Winthrop Town Center is always a great photo location for Tampa Bay. There is plenty of shade to work with, if you are like this couple and want to keep baby on their nighttime schedule. It allows for a session well before sunset, or even after sunrise a couple of hours, too. Of course, the light is a big part of how I photograph families, so if we can work it in for the session without making you sweat or squint, I will do it. we were able to let it peak in over their shoulders at this time of year even two hours before sunset. Honestly, we all got home in time for sunset, and then the skies opened up and storms came quick and fast, so it was meant to be on this particular night to do the session early. I do try to get my clients to have some flexiblity the night of their session if we are doing a session that isn’t a back to back mini-session (which I usually only offer in the fall). The flexiblity to move up 15/30 minutes if the weather changes is a big help to make sure you get the best light that we can during your session! If you want this flexibilty a spring session or a full family session in the fall is the way to go!
