This family had a mini-session date scheduled early in the season, but weather, smoke from Canada and then a park closing early made us swap dates/locations and just keep rescheduling. Honestly, everything truly happens for a reason because dang, they lucked out with the perfect light, location and day! Here are a few of my favorites from the night. This location at this time of year, with the light location falling on the beach, it is truly magic. I don’t offer beach mini-sessions all the way out to the Gulf beaches, but I have really loved all the beach mini-sessions on the bay this year.

I also recommend EG Simmons beach/park for a full family photo session and will be adding this location for a weekday mini next season for sure. The elements all have to align though with the park closing, sunset and weather for sure. If it is hot, it can be quite buggy at this location, so later in the fall works better. Also, with the park closing early, and beach itself closing 30 minutes before the park, it works when sunset is a bit later or after the time chagne. All things to worry about as a photographer, but just know if I recommend this spot or have it on the schedule, you don’t want to miss it.

Thank you to this sweet family with their gorgeous, maturing girls who trust me year after year! I cannot believe how much they have grown over the years. I have been photographing them. The location and their outfits were just perfect together as well. This is the quintessential Florida vibe holiday photos in my opinion. Nothing too heavy,no dark fall tones, just light and bright and comfortable while still looking great together! There are even more spots to check out at this location so I really look forward to my next full family photo session at this goregous Tampa Bay photo location!

Now for my monthly blog circle with other photographers across the country. Click to find out the reasons you should take the holiday photos, from Robyn and her great post about reasons you should take an annual photo!
