Indian Rocks Beach | Extended Family Vacation Photos & Santa
So it is Valentine’s Day, how is that possible? It feels like it was just Christmas break… You know, love is in the air and all, but here is a throwback to Christmas! This fun family had a special visitor during their extended family vacation photo session on Indian Rocks Beach, Santa.
What could be more fun than having Santa at your photo session, right? Well, except if you are the baby of the family and your first interaction with the big guy leaves you a little less than enthused! But all the memories were documented, even tears!
I just loved this whole family beach photo session. They had a great color palette of bright jewel tones to pop against the greenery where we started with Santa pictures, and then stand out together on the beach, too! I love that they mixed patterns and didn’t have everyone in the same color or texture of clothing. This is a great example of what to wear for larger, extended family photo sessions. Especially beach family photos.
This location right on Indian Rocks Beach was the best of both worlds with the green space to meet Santa, and then a short walk across the street to the beach access. I am putting this location up my sleeve if I ever do beach mini-sessions again. I generally leave them for full family sessions because it is so hard to do the earlier sessions and miss sunset at the beach. The best way around that is to do a film session earlier and then sunset sessions after since film loves more light than less light! If you are interested in a beach session, the spring is a great time to set up a full photo session at the beach. My weekends are booked through March but I do have a couple weekend dates open in April and May before I take June off for family vacation!
