Family Vacation Photographer Tampa Bay | Davis Islands Pictures
I had the most fun at this session while this family visited Tampa Bay this winter. I like to think I am a family vacation photographer for all of Tampa Bay. From St. Petersburg to Indian Rocks Beach and over to the Tampa side of the bay, I sure have been busy documenting families while they vacation and enjoy our Florida sunshine! Seriously, though this was one of the most fun photo sessions, too. I giggle a lot, like a lot a lot. This little guy reminded me so much of my own boys at that age, so maybe that is why I just had the biggest smile on my face. This little sweet girl and her big blue eyes were also a photographer’s dream, too! Or maybe it was because this family wanted “a traditional photo of the family and of the kids together, but definitely bigger focus on documenting where we are now.”
These fleeting moments of childhood are what I remember most as I look back on pictures of my kids back when I could still pick them up and they weren’t towering over me! Being able to freeze time in photographs for families is such an honor. When families specifically say they want to have the documentation of your family as you are now, in whatever milestone or age they may be, that is my biggest joy to document! So here are a few of my favorite images from the night on Davis Islands Beach. I loved that they dressed to coordinate, not fully match. I also love that the clothing they picked allowed them to move and be themselves, too. I love color, and prints, and really love documenting colorful family photos with young energetic kids in particular. I think it really helps provide that outgoing nature that this family clearly has. Don’t get me wrong, I also love neutrals, especially at the beach, but if your family is color loving and vibrant colors work with your family’s decor, I say do it! Don’t be shy about colors and patterns! This is a family photo session where colorful clothing really make these bright and happy family moments at the beach stand out.
