Motherhood Film Photo Session | Tampa Family Photographer
I offered two mini-sessions this spring as hybrid film photo sessions and honestly, the film images turned out to be my favorites. I know one family ended up printing their film photos and even made a canvas to add to their collection of canvases they have made with me over the years. I know this session has lots of favorite images from their motherhood film photo session, both on film and the digital images, too. We actually did this on a weekday morning and the fog had rolled in but by the end of the session you can see we had bright and happy sunshine.
Tampa family photographer specializing in motherhood helps me document families but also focus on the mom moments as so many of us are the ones behind the camera all the time! If you have a wife who is always taking photos, partners out there, trust me when I say just take the photo when you see your loved ones together. It doesn’t have to be planned out, or smiling at the camera either. Trust me when I say just take the photo. Moments, authentic and real, will always trump the perfect family photo in the end. Mother’s Day is also coming up, so if you haven’t done anything yet, you can always order a print from a previous session and frame it yourself or order it through me and I have amazing heirloom quality frames with non-glare glass to really stand the test of time. Or, a wooden photo block always makes a statement, on it’s own or as a collection added to a gallery wall.
Okay, printing soap box over, back to this sweet family who just like yesterday’s blog post has been with me for photo milestones for years and years, too. They were lucky enough to get me to document their engagement and wedding before I stopped taking them. I guess lucky sounds a bit conceited, but you know what I mean! So thank you to A & D for letting me be the one to document you guys along the way. Especially since Miss A is an awesome photographer herself when she isn’t an amazing business owner with her sister (again, check out their lovely photo session in yesterday’s blog post). If you need speech, occupational and social skills therapy, these talented and wonderful women and their awesome team are the best in the Tampa Bay area (https://aaspeech.com/).
Now onto a few of my film favorites. These were all taken on 35mm film using Kodak Portra400, rated at 200, and developed and scanned by The Find Lab. I did convert a few to black and white in post to go with the other black and white images on digital that I loved so much. Clients, did you know you can always add a roll of film to any photo session? Plus, twice a year I try to add some hybrid film and digital sessions and here is a hint, they are always my favorites and you get wayyyyy more photos from your hybrid sessions ;) The fall sessions will go live in early August - sign up for the Hamilton Creek Photography newsletter if you want to be added!
This month, I am taking you on a blog circle with other photographers. To start please check out the amazing work by Ute Reckhorn, Creative Photography Coach; who is sharing a post about creative photography techniques.
