I don’t know if gets better than a flower field session. There is just something a little more extra special about wildflower fields, am I right? This sweet senior happened to contact me at the exact right time. The weather was still gorgeous and I knew this field was just about done for the season. I am usually lucky enough to get a few photos here each spring, between February and March. The flower field typically gets mowed at least once and the second time growing usually is dependant on the weather if it is lush or just reblooms a little bit. This year was perfect right before spring break, and it is always more magical in the morning. The light is so golden and the tree line helps give that added bokeh effect. This day we had a tiny sliver of fog run through for a few minutes and it was still cool enough that we could see her breath for a few shots in the sun.

This spring the field is all but gone but if you are a senior for next year, this is hopefully a location I can help document you in! The key is to contact me in early February to get the details and booked. I only share the location with those who book sessions, so they last a little longer without too many photographers overrunning it! Locations can be so precious to photographers, and part of my professional services is to match the right spot with the right clients. Not everyone loves the beach, or the wild, so finding more about you and your style helps me give the best options for your own unique senior portrait or family photo session.

This year has been a big one for open fields and while my trusty Plant City location has been amazing, I also have a location closer to Lithia/Bloomingdale/Riverview that is gorgeous for sessions, too! I did a session there last week and it was just as gorgeous as the flower field…which if you know me and my love for this field, is saying a lot! So stay tuned for anther session blog next week. If you are looking for a small senior session this year, the last mini-session date is still open due to a reschedule need - https://hamiltoncreekphotography.com/spring-2025-minis - Tuesday, April 8th at the downtown Tampa location. This location is perfect for those with a more modern style, or for the guys this year. My calendar has been taken over by the female grads but I do have two seniors downtown next week, so I am excited to share a few more male options for locaitons and senior portrait poses!

Bringing a university pennant or new college garb is a fun way to celebrate or announce your college intentions for the next year, too!
