Davis Islands Beach | Tampa Family PhotograpHer

I just love this Tampa photo location, especially this time of year. Davis Islands Beach is a great Tampa photo spot, especially for mini-sessions that want the beach but I don’t always offer mini-sessions on the Gulf of Mexico anymore. Mainly because I spend more time driving than photographing families at mini’s. So if you want a full session at the Gulf of Mexico at one of our lovely beaches, I am your girl, but I won’t be offering mini-sessions there any longer. But that is okay, the light is just so lovely and magical at our Tampa “beach” in Davis Islands. I know everyone also wants the beach at Cypress Point with the purple grasses, too, but Tampa Parks & Rec, isn’t approving photo permits there, still. So if you see photographers there, just know they don’t have permission. It bums me out! It is so pretty especially in October but I am hopefuly maybe next year they will open it back up!

So, even if we don’t get a full time on the beach the whole time, the light is just too pretty not to use the green space just off Davis Island Beach for that glow and bokeh. Mini-sessions are often back-to-back sessions; which means you may not get the actual beach at sunset. But, that doesn’t mean your photos are not going to be just as lovely as the family who gets the actual beach sunset.

One of my favorite parts of the night was just letting this little one play for a bit. The bubles and the light really created a beautiful bokeh around them and who doesn’t love a photo session that is actually fun and stress free! That is what is all about to me. Not perfect children who smile forcefully for thirty minutes straight. I want movement, fun and carefree moments like this that are real and beautiful at the same time!
