I met up with this gorgeous family a few weeks ago on the most amazing night weather and light wise in a long time. We had the absolutely perfect weather for their springtime family pictures in Tampa. I loved their wardrobe choices and the location really helped set off their rich details against the greenery and blacks. I always get nervous when clients say “we are all wearing black” as a photographer who loves colors, but this time the all black outfits absolutely worked. The little bits of sparkle, the details and rich snippets of color among the black really worked so perfectly. Also, Hillsborough River State Park is now officially back open, so I absolutely recommend making a spring day of it here soon. You don’t need to do photos, just pack a water bottle, maybe some snacks and a sense of adventure and you can really explore a great park in the Tampa Bay area.

This gorgeous girl is such a fireball of energy and happiness. I am so glad I was able to document this huge milestone for her and her darling family. We met at the perfect rustic inspired location for her senior photo session and even squeezed in a few family photos for them, too. I loved the Spanish moss, glowing light and field of longer grasses to play with all the different light for a dynamic gallery of images. I love a good safe senior portrait but also incorporating movement, play and light into some more creative photos to document each senior’s style a bit more, too.

These lovely ladies came into our lives through swimming and I am so glad we had at least a few years swimming with them on the same club. Their parents are the sweetest and so are they. I can’t believe they are almost graduating and then they will be off to college soon. How fun is it for them that they are heading off together, too? Our twins are planning on the same university as well, so hopefully it works out well for these ladies! I love that this senior booked two mini-sessions this spring to optimize the best of our beautiful Tampa Bay locations for senior pictures. A quick 30 minute session means a quick change so you don’t lose light and session time, but if you do book two mini-sessions, then that means two locations and up to two outfits per location, too! Win-win! I only offer mini-sessions on weekends unless I have a few mini-sessions set up back to back during select times of the year. With longer days right now, it is a great time to set up a weekday mini-session to document your grad in your life!

You know those places that are just magical, no matter the weather, no matter sunshine or clouds, these special locations just always seem to be bring out the best for photos? That is Davis Islands Beach for me.This family is also pretty magical and special too. They have trusted me for a few years now with the extra bonus of film at their mini-sessions. That means they get a little extra time and a whole roll of film to play with and keep the digitals of at the end as well. Davis Islands and film are also a perfect match like peanut butter and jelly!

Oh my lanta, what a sweet baby this little guy was! We met one hot and sticky morning last month at Picnic Island Park. With a seven month old and two pups, you bet we had to try to beat the heat and long summer nights. Thankfully, these guys were willing to get to Picnic Island Beach and Park early on a weekend to beat the heat and the crowds.
