I am so honored and thankful this family has welcomed me to their home year after year. We always have the best light, the best location and best time. I definitely sweat a lot less this year, thankfully as well. The picture perfect weather in October allowed us time to relax and take some stress free family photos at their home again this year. I absolutely adore this family and feel like the photos are just a bit more special this time around for them, too. I can’t believe how much the kids have matured. I am going to share a few of our first session at the very end just to show how time flies!

EG Simmons Beach in Ruskin may not sounds like the perfect photo spot in Tampa Bay. When you think of Ruskin you may think tomatos. The beach and regional park on the bay though is a quiet little Tampa Bay photo gem. Check out this gorgoeus family and their sweet fall mini-session on the beach.

You know those places that are just magical, no matter the weather, no matter sunshine or clouds, these special locations just always seem to be bring out the best for photos? That is Davis Islands Beach for me.This family is also pretty magical and special too. They have trusted me for a few years now with the extra bonus of film at their mini-sessions. That means they get a little extra time and a whole roll of film to play with and keep the digitals of at the end as well. Davis Islands and film are also a perfect match like peanut butter and jelly!

I just love when a night works out with perfect weather, the perfect light, the perfect family and the perfect outfits. A one month old in the comfort of their home is the best way to document your baby without too much stress. When you are sleep deprived and running on hormones and caffeine, keeping things simple for your baby’s first photo session is always best. These Tampa family and one month baby portraits are similar to the ones we did for his big sister a few short years ago, too.

Picnic Island Beach and Park in Tampa was a great photo back drop for this fun family photo session. I loved their fall outfits that coordinated but didn’t match too perfectly. They brought their fun energy and a great attitude to result in more photos than they will ever need. This high school senior session took place over two locations; which is always an option to add on to your senior pictures if you like. We started at this senior’s favorite spot, the golf course. Then we headed to Davis Island Beach for some family photos. I love to offer family photos for the last few minutes of a senior session.This works well if your senior doesn’t want too many outfit changes or individual images. Instead, if we take the last third of the session time for family, you get to document your family before the next big milestone of graduation. For a lot of kids, that means leaving “the nest” and it is the last time everyone is around and easy to set up a family photo session!

Oh my lanta, what a sweet baby this little guy was! We met one hot and sticky morning last month at Picnic Island Park. With a seven month old and two pups, you bet we had to try to beat the heat and long summer nights. Thankfully, these guys were willing to get to Picnic Island Beach and Park early on a weekend to beat the heat and the crowds.

You guessed it, another vacation family photo session on Indian Shores Beach. I absolutely love that I get to meet so many new faces during their time vacationing in Florida. Especially while they are having fun at the beach! It really doesn’t get better for me while working! Indian Shores and Indian Rocks Beach both have been the “must visit beach” for many families this summer. The beach may be busy while we are together, but when you are vacationing you don’t really want all the beach goers in your photos. Thankfully I have a lot of experience with photographing families even on the busiest weeks on the beach, like the Fourth of July, or Memorial Day Weekend. Being able to pose you and direct you without you really feeling like I am telling you how to be together means I spend a lot less time editing people out of your photos as well.

Summer vacation family photo sessions are in full swing here in Tampa Bay! I feel like I am at Indian Rocks Beach at least twice a week for family vacation beach pictures. Honestly, it feels incredibly lucky to be paid not only doing what I love photographing families, but also being paid to go to the beach. This family was just too fun to document while they were here on vacation at Indian Rocks Beach. They have made many summer family memories visiting our awesome Tampa Bay area beaches from the Midwest and I am so glad they found me to help document their family time at the beach together.
